A New Way

I found one of my notebooks on clearing out our attic yesterday and in it my morning pages (a stream of consciousness) from last november which in reflection seems to be about the 11.11.11 Time portal/Stargate . On reflecting about the past year and the way many people have been pushed into living their truth, in other words not hiding from what they feel is the right and true way for them, i really do think that deep changes and big shifts have been happening.

"Stargate- the opening, the awakening, the portal. A clear wide open channel/doorway for utter connection, total renewal, transformation, a wholeness and healing on every level including the old mental attitudes shed and new whole ones formed, a new way, a new walk, an old remembrance a remembrance of the old way. Vulnerabilities, vulnerability stepping out, arms wide open, free, new direction threatens the old, but it has reached a tipping point, the new way is stronger than the old so it will break down the walls and previous borders and boundaries will shift or will be removed all together. Wide open, transparent, new wave is the new way. Trust, honesty, truth will be the the new tenants to stand by-people know the truth because they sense it, they will listen to this/these feelings and go where their intuition says it is safe and reliable to go. No more capitalist lies and greed. It is all about the community, the common good, working together for the greater good-support, relationships, a process of community, family and relation that makes everyone accountable/responsible. We all need to step up to create the world we want to see and live in."

A few days before, this was in my morning pages:

"Stars so bright, dancing, sparkling, hanging in your path, shimmering, reflecting light, jewels of radiance, happiness, connection. Gems to keep, to protect, to value, to use, to heal, to seal, to place on broken damaged unhealed elements, parts, places in people. They glimmer they are in reach, you touch them, feel their light, their energy. You grasp them in your arms, holding them all to your chest, each one slowly disappearing into you, pop, pop, pop and your mouth opens and you sing. Your body, your light body opens, a bright shining light, to reveal energy of all colours dancing and merging and moving with vibrance and health. They are spiralling through your whole body waking up every cell as they go deep deep into every part of your body, waking up the blood, the tissue, the lymph, the organs, each part down to the smallest element, around your digestion, your heart. Kicking out a whole lot of rubbish and unneeded things at your throat and on up into your head, your brain, clearing out all the pathways, the old unuseful ways of thinking. Lighting up some areas so that you are vibrant, go getting, risk taking and whooshing with creativity and bounce......"

Funnily enough since that time my shamanic healing work has really opened and i have been able to say for the first time to everyone that this is what i do. Now i am seeing clients regularly and it is amazing and such a privilege to do this work, what a wonderful life, i feel really blessed!!

The Time of the Sixth Sun

We are all one

There is an awakening happening that will hopefully lead humanity to realise that our future and the future of the world is in our hands and that the best way that we can ensure that we continue as a race is to cultivate love and to awaken to the knowledge that has been held for us, that we are all one and that we are part of a collective consciousness and together we can dream a new way of being into being.

The ones who have kept the knowledge, who have held the energy and wisdom of Atlantis, of the balance of Gaia and the cosmic realms, who have held the history of consciousness for humanity have held it for as long as they can, now it is up to you and i, it is time to

awaken to who we are and what we can and need to do.

The Time of the Sixth sun is a film about the shift in global awareness and the expansion of consciousness that is happening right now and as we move beyond 2012.

Here is another excerpt from the film, but in looking for this i came across the trailer for another interesting film called The Shift  by Dr. Wayne W.Dyer telling how we originated from the world of spirit and how if we can realise that we are not just defined by what we have and what others think of us we can be liberated.

And finally if you knew that 2012 was going to be the end of the world as we know it would you do something different? and if so why aren't you doing that now?

A Magical Journey

I would like to share with you my most recent shamanic journey, it is beautiful and full of blessings that  i hope will filter down into my every day life overtime and touch yours too. 

I see stars, see light that is star bright. "Allow the mysteries of the universe to unfold and with it your dreams of a home, to nurture your children and to have light pouring through you. Light is upon you. Light is shining. You are shining. You are a shining, bright, happy, sunshine medicine woman." 

 I stand at my tree with my hands outstretched and they fill with stars, light blue in colour, all wishes for healing children. Each star is a wish to keep their hearts open and their spirit bright and alive. I  turn and i am surrounded by spirit children and a whole village of all ages around their inner circle. They all carry gifts and blessings, jewels that glint in the sun-beautiful rainbow coloured jewels and one by one they place them in my hands (I wear a golden crown suddenly with jewels and a bright purple one at my third eye) and they weave me in light and colour and support. They heal my fears until there is nothing but clarity and light. "You are a clear channel and you will attract beauty, love, health and wealth. These gifts that come in abundance are woven into your being to shine out to help fit the pieces together for others. The colours will find a place in each person. Soothing, healing, cleansing and renewing. Your crown is your beacon". I hold (oak?) seedlings in my hands which are planted in my womb and in a ring around my feet where my feet touch the earth, barefooted, deliciously feeling the moist, alive, purposeful earth. It has purpose, it has growth, it is wholly nurturing and enabling and i delight in touching it, feeling it, becoming at one with it. In between each sapling is a strong weave of golden light which is woven to support their growth. Allowing them to choose their path and direction, but also giving them unbending support which grows as they do. "It is natural to gift support to others, to help those who need it. It is possible when you come from a place of strength and wholeness in yourself. When you are whole you are able to help and support others. It is not a need, it is, it is a way that needs no asking. You see with clarity the need in others- the loss, the dents, the fracture, the veils that stop the light. The wholeness in you will allow you to be the healer you always wanted to be for yourself. A mirror of wholeness and golden light and love. Pure, simple, uncomplicated, shining, allowed to weave your magic or simply to allow the magic to take place. To let it all happen because wholeness brings faith, trust and true true happiness. This golden light is so healing, nourishing and divine, it is divine, it is the source and you are part of it. You have allowed the door to open again and there are no barriers. You were under an illusion that there were doors closed, but here you are radiant in knowledge, blessings and jewels of rainbow light radiating their healing and magic. They are you now, they are absolute, they are what always was and always would be: love in abundance. Your path is so clear- you are a parent, a mother, a wife and you are a healer, each time you meet someone who needs the light. You stand in this shamanic, healing, blessed space and cannot remember a time of such connection, love, empowerment, energy, light, hope and wishfulfilment as now. You bask in the glory of each moment here soaking up every ounce." The elders step forward now with different gifts- emerald glass/jewels with planetary and star wisdom, wisdom of all the ages. Green is the theme. Metatron, the angel, allowing the blazing orange light to light up each of these emeralds so that they shine.

Night has fallen and they stand out like glowing hubs/fire torches with magical powers-life enhancing, cleansing and healing any fragments, broken pieces, patterns of behaviour, refracted light and bringing out into the light hidden depths, hidden parts, untapped wisdom, untapped hopes and ideals. Belief that you can do something no matter what. Belief that nothing can stop you when you work for the highest good for all and from love. The emeralds have become like jewels in my hair, lighting my face and glinting in my hair. They sink into me, become a part of me and go deep deep into my psyche, into my cells, fires of warmth, energy and spirit. They heal, mend and connect. They talk to each other and they remember what it was like to be whole, to move freely, to be clean and clear and shining allowing the light and connecting with ease. They are delighted at this new speed of connection, they are permanently in touch so that everything moves easily and i am given a huge gift by a king (he also wears a golden crown). I undo the soft pink ribbon around the white box and inside on soft and fluffy sheepskin lies a clean, pink healthy baby -content, bright and so happy and safe. She giggles and sparkles. She has a twin boy who appears, i am not sure that i want him to be there, but he grows as i look at him, becoming a man and he hugs me with such love and strength and i see i also need this baby, this man in my life to nurture every part of me. The two babies embrace and join becoming a dancing ball of light which is gifted to me. I hug this ball of light to me and it bursts through any remaining barriers with the strength of its light. It pours into every part of me-the little girl- the bright energetic soul and the little boy the protecting, more grounded side. Both i need. They dance back and forth between one side and the other of me and strew their gifts. Silver coins of fortune, good fortune- so much luck and protection and delights. "They are important. Hold them but also let them flow freely because then they will keep replenishing endlessly." My feet are being painted, hennaed by the earth, my arms by nature, leaves covering my arms, tummy, back, head, legs. I am naked apart from leaves. I am nature- the trees, grasses, leaves, ferns, dells, moorlands, hillsides, flowers, spring, moss, baby clovers, dandelions- the wild things, the wild and natural parts to consume, to love, to be a part of .

 I dance in the streams and the brooks as the sunlight sparkles through the water glimmering, refracting jewels of light and movement all showered over me. Water is a blessing to cleanse, clean, clean out, washout and sparkle through your being. Your feet are washed in this delicious, singing, sparkling brook, you are again surrounded by your village of spirit helpers/family. They carry you and support you as you float down the gentle babbling stream of life. Yet it is so shallow that equally you could stand and walk, yet you choose to relax, to lie back in the sun and allow the gentle waters to support you. To gently soothe anything that needs to be, to hold you, love you as you grow and change. Welcome all these sparkling, bright, sunshiney jewels. Delight in the light and the blessings. Nurture yourself with raw and intuitively led foods - bless your food and allow love, only love, to enter your thoughts. You are at one. Thank you for sharing all that you are with us.

One final gift is from a little boy and then also from an old man. The little boy gives me a tuning fork to sound out the correct vibrations around me and the older man gives me a box of delicious foods to nourish me on every level to keep replenishing myself and my reserves forever. I thank them all so much and receive a collective hug and the old man wraps us all in his cloak and with his staff he winds us all in together until i am left in the clearing on my own with the magic wizards staff in my hands and all the gifts, blessings and wisdom safely wrapped up inside me.

What a deliciously magical and healing journey. I feel so blessed to have experienced it and it's ongoing radiant effects.

The Shamanic Healing Way

In an article called "All life is connected - The Shamans Way", Jonathan Horwitz talks about what Shamanism is:  He starts by saying that the word 'shaman' originally comes from the Evinki people and literally means "the one who knows". A Shaman is someone who is able to contact the spirit world and works with it to help both himself and others. "Central to the understanding of Shamanism and especially shamanic healing is the concept of power. Not power as might, but rather power as energy. Traditionally the shaman sees two main reasons for illness. The patient either has something inside which should not be there, an unwanted power/energy intrusion, or is missing something that should be there i.e power loss. As all things have a spirit or a soul from the shaman's point of view, this holds true for illnesses as well. In the case of a power intrusion it is the shaman's job to remove the spirit of the unwanted power." In his shamanic work Jonathan Horwitz has found over the years "that the main cause of illness is separation, both literally and metaphorically, to the degree that the two words could also be considered synonymous. By separation, i mean being cut off from one's surroundings, loved one or even perhaps especially oneself....." He says that "When you are feeling powerful (full of power) it is when you are in contact with the rest of the universe and being filled with that power there is no room for illness. It means that you are listening to spirit/your intuition or trusting. Conversely he says that one of the greatest symptoms of power loss is lack of trust, while fear is another.

Jonathan Horwitz says that "for thousand of years, shamans have known that one of the major causes of illness and other forms of imbalance in our world is 'soul loss', the loss of some part of ourselves. The Shaman asks the spirits- guides, teachers and helpers for help and advice and sometimes to find and bring back home this soul part to reunite it with the physical body. This work is called 'soul retrieval'. The shaman knows that all things created have soul and therefore knows that it is possible to communicate with these other spiritual essences by journeying to them. The shamanic journey is a journey of the soul. " And it one that we can all learn to do for ourselves. Initially perhaps with the help of a shaman and then increasingly on our own.

Kathy Fried is an incredible Shaman who lives and works in London. I worked with her during my art therapy studies and the journeys that i went on in those sessions were incredibly powerful. Kathy is refreshingly down to earth and grounded yet she is also an incredible healer. She has the warmest heart and it was very special to be able to work with her and the spirits in those sessions.

nyarttherapist.com/id3.html describes so perfectly what i do in terms of energy medicine healing that uses shamanic techniques that i will let her speak for me today:

"We all have a luminous energy field/aura which is a subtle energy body that surrounds the human body. It contains information related to our health. Emotional, genetic and karmic history can organize energy and this energy can be apparent in our energy fields. Sometimes the energy can leave dense or heavy imprints in the field which can express as disease in the human body. The healing work that i do can help to release these heavy energies from the past and clear imprints, allowing the body to re-pattern towards health and healing.

Once this energy is released and blocks are removed, the body can begin to bring in more light and move into deeper levels of healing. I generally do not know fully where the energy healing session will go before the session starts i am guided by Spirit through the session to do the work that is needed for that person at that time. Sessions may include removal of energies (extractions), return of essential energies to the body (soul retrievals), healing of ancestral or generational wounds and patterns, or healing of karmic wounds. Heavy energies are energies that do not serve us well and can essentially "clog" the energy field and affect our health and well-being. These heavy energies may have been caused by past traumas or painful experiences and/or may be genetic or karmic in nature. When the heavy energy is released, the body feels lighter and clearer and can perform better. It is similar to a computer with too much unnecessary information. When the unnecessary information is removed or "cleaned up", the computer functions much more efficiently, and as it was intended to function.

An extraction can remove heavy energy or blocks. Sometimes energies can "crystallize" and become embedded in the energetic field and body. This can begin to manifest in the physical, emotional and mental bodies as disease and not feeling well. An extraction can also remove an intrusive energy or entity that is fluid and moves throughout the body.

A soul retrieval helps you to regain an essential part of yourself, or essential energy, which was lost or fled or was splintered off at some point in your life. Many of us have experienced energy loss to some degree throughout our life. Soul retrievals can be powerful pieces of work and can be particularly powerful for those who have gone through traumatic experience.

Some people feel changes and/or shifting in the energy field during a session, however, others may just feel a deep sense of release, relaxation and/or peace. It depends on various factors including the work being done. Sometimes the process facilitates an experience of visual images, colors, or memories which may be related to what is being worked on. Generally speaking, you will most likely feel lighter and/or clearer immediately after a session and will feel a difference in the quality of your health. Other positive shifts may also occur in the period following the session, which may include shifts in your physical, emotional and/or mental health as well. "

The Last Wild Witch

I feel that at my core i am a green, magical, medicine woman, a wild witch infact and i like the thought of 'dancing' and being completely free out in the forest, outside in all weathers. It is here out in nature that i have always felt most at home and connected, hence my love of surrounding myself with all things green, of camping in the woods, treking throught the hills and of wild swimming in the lakes and in the sea. So what could be better than to live on the edge of a huge forest here in Oslo with wonderful clean fresh water lakes whilst also being close to the sea, it feels like i finally have a little more wildness in my life than i have had since my childhood.

So perhaps that is why i love this wonderful children's book about 'The Last Wild Witch' because it reminds us to connect to the wildness before we no longer have it. This book was recently reviewed by the Green Parent magazine:

This is a story of how the children from the perfect town let a little wildness grow inside them, found their joy and courage and saved the last wild witch and the magic forest from disappearing.
